Greetings, I have recently purchased an IMAC 24” 2.8 GH system. I have always been a Dos/Windows user so I have a lot of windows software. Boot Camp capability was the deciding factor to move over to Apple. So… I Loaded Boot Camp on a 250 Meg partition with no real problems. Everything works with one exception, I can’t seem to save anything to the super drive in windows except "read only" CDs. No DVD’s, No read/write CDs work. Additionally I cannot play any DVD movies using this drive in windows. It works fine in OS X. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do all the super drive capabilities actually work in Windows XP using boot camp? Do I need to buy some kind of windows software? If so, what windows xp software will work with the Super Drive?

You installed the Bootcamp drivers right? The superdrive should "just work" with everything installed correctly in Windows, it must be a driver issue since it works fine in Mac OS X.

Yes installed the driver disk as instructed in the Book Camp user manual. I too think its either a driver problem or I don't have some kind of special software needed to create DVD / Record CD R/W or something. Windows say I have a Matshita DVD-R but can't find any specific windows drivers for that DVD
