I bought Super Monkey Ball for my new Iphone 3G. Every time it starts up and goes to the Sega screen it then crashes back to the home screen. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so any idea how to fix it?

I bought the application through my computer, not my iphone.

Thanks.

Yep. Not impressed with 2.0's stability so far, considering how long they made us wait, and how many times it got delayed.

Well I've contacted Sega UK's support and registered a ticket. Wait and see...

Yes, I'm having exactly the same problem, and I also bought it via the PC.

from the front page of this site...

Unrelated to this procedure, there have been sporadic reports of people having Applications quitting immediately after launch. This has happened both with original iPhone and iPhone 3G versions. The solution is to simply delete the application and redownload it from the App Store. Apple allows you to re-download any application for free.

Yeah, deleting and reinstalling didn't work. First time I re-downloaded it wouldn't reinstall. Second time it did, but again just crashed out.

i there, this happened me, U just have to restart your iPhone using the home button and the top button to reset it! iPhone apps really still in the teething stages yet!

Yeah, this has happened on loads of applications for me. Seems to be memory-related, as restarting allows the apps to work first time, and then a few launches later, you'll have the same problem (with the same or different apps).

On a side note - how the heck do you save your place in SMB, and go back to it?!

Yes, that restarting trick works. Thanks!
It'll do, but hopefully there'll be a patch soon.

I tried deleting and reinstalling and that didn't work so I tried just restarting like you said and it worked. Thanks.

I learned the reset trick a odd way: I tried opening all of my apps and most of them kept crashing. But then, another app crashed but reset my iPod as well. No problems with crashing apps since.
