I'm having a tough time choosing one or the other. I have read review of both and people say that Super Monkey Ball is hard, but then again I looked at reviews of Jirbo Break and people said that was hard. And Jirbo Break is like the easiest game ever, I beat it 3 times.

So what would you guys reccommend? Super Monkey or Crash.

I have both and I say go for Crash.

The controls on monkey ball are far too sensitive and frustrating as mentioned above.

Super Monkey ball is meant to be challenging, whereas Crash is meant to be exhilarating and fun.

I only have Super Monkey ball, currently, and ok yes - the sensitivity of the controls need either an addition of a user-configurable setting,
or need tweaking, but the way it is now, it's a challenge, and a great one at that.

Crash looks a fun game, but reviews state the graphics are not up to much.

I think it's up to you. Do you want to challenge yourself to beat Super Monkey Ball?
or subject yourself to an exhilarating ride around several courses in a vehicle - Crash Bandicoot style?

Personally, I don't think monkey ball needs any sensitivity changes at all. Being able to play it upside down (like looking up at the phone) is coming in an update, but the game is perfect for me. I finished the game, and I can complete 1.7 (the hard level) on my 1st try every time I practice it.

I don't have crash but I really, really, would recommend SMB unless you really are not able to make very precise and gentle movements.

I don't understand how people can recommend one game over another when they don't have both. I have both (and CroMag), get Crash. It's just fun and less frustrating. SMB is like walking on egg shells every time I pick it up, I'm just waiting for an update on users being able to calibrate controls.

I have both and I have given up on Super Monkey Ball. I play Crash though - so I'd recommend that one.

I haven't played Crash yet, but I have Super Monkey Ball. I find it VERY sensitive, and frustrating... And yes, it gets old.

I found Super Monkey Ball to be very true to the originals and very fun. Don't have Crash Bandicoot, though I'm considering it. Don't want to go overboard with games, so waiting for the app store to settle down a bit so I don't buy something then wish I'd waited for something different. I've got plenty of games to play with, but mostly free.

Monkey Ball - 3/5. It mainly isn't too great because of the bad control.
Crash - 4/5. This game is pretty fun, but gets sort of boring after a while.

Can I just ask a question about what everyone has been saying?

What at all is wrong with super monkey ball controls?? I really don't understand why people just say "it sucks I can't control it!" Its not like I practiced or anything, but I really thought the controls worked for the game. My only negative is that you can't set it to play upside down in bed, but thats coming in an update.

are you kidding? the control is very poor. maybe i really notice it because i am in LOVE with the Wii motion controls for this game, and the iPhone controls are a JOKE compared to the wii game.

But then again, you don't look like a seven year old when you're playing a game on your iPhone...

not only 7 year olds play with the wii...
and id rather look like a 7 year old playing with great controls, then looking like a 19 year old playing with horrible controls.
The Wii has a vast audience from ages 4-86!
