hi,

sorry if this seems a thick question, but what recordable dvd's can my new MBP write to. I thoiught i would be ok with DVD+R and DVD+RW, but when i inserted one, and profiled the disc it was listed as writable = No. Are apple drives fussy or am i doing something wrong.

What brand did you insert?
Was it +R or +RW?
Was it clean?
Have you actually pressed 'burn' and seen it not work?

Be careful of the speed of the DVD's as well. I made the mistake of buying 16X DVD-R's and while they do work sometimes, the don't always work.

Guess I should have read the warning on the top of the DVD case, heh.
