Okay, I stupidly made the decision at the time of purchase not to get a superdrive. I was thinking of trading up to a powerbook, but I'm still not sure it's the greatest idea. Anyway, I was wondering: Is there any way to get the SD installed in the ibook without voiding my Applecare? Also, installing ram doesn't void applecare, correct?

12" don't come with them. What exactly are you asking?
Apple doesn't do those sorts of upgrades. And you can't do it yourself without voiding your warranty. Installing memory doesn't void the warranty.
