Did anyone try the Supermicro nvme AOC-SLG3-4E4T ?

Its a PLX 8718 PCIe x16 Gen. 3 switch which delivers 4 OCuLink ports.

Supermicro cards have the bad habit of frying Mac Pros. AOC-SLG3-8E2P fried @handheldgames Mac Pro and it's basically the 8-port version of the card that you want.

Hello Alex,

Many thanks for your reply - I nearly put the AOC in a xserve 3.1 to test it.
I didn't know about handheld games experience with the AOC switch,
but I don't want to fry a second MacPro or Xserve.
Any idea why the AOC fries the chipset ?
