So I recently sent my 2019 MBP in for a keyboard replacement through Apple’s repair depot. Originally I was told I’d have my Mac back by last Thursday however now due to supply chain issues Apple has told me it will take longer. Unfortunately they’ve not given me any deadline for when the part will be available and the repair will be complete. Does anyone here have any insight into this ongoing issue and any advice on what I should do? I don’t want to be stuck without my Mac for too long but I also would like to get the keyboard replaced if possible. How long is a realistic expectation do you all think I should plan for Apple to take before the part is available? Do you think it is worth waiting or should I have them just ship it back to me? Just trying to make the best decision given the circumstances. Thanks!

Guess you're gonna have to wait.
As to "how long"... well... if THEY haven't got the parts needed to repair it yet, it "will be ready when it's ready".

If it looks like the wait will be too long, perhaps it's time to think "something new"...

Yeah that’s pretty much the situation and probably what I’ll end up doing. Just frustrating going without my laptop for awhile but at least I don’t have any pressing work I need it for at the moment. Hopefully it won’t take much longer than another week or so at most. Otherwise I’ll have to call it.
