I have bought a 16” MBP 16gb 512gb space grey for a couple of months ago.

But Apple can not deliver the model yet. Is there a supply shortage as of lately?

The mac is bought through a reseller which are giving me gift cards as a measure for me having to wait, but I find it peculiar that I haven’t heard anything about delivery issues elsewhere. It’s not a new model anymore.

In the U.S. available for immediate pickup at a store or delivery. Are there any other sellers which you can check for availability? Norwegian apple website quotes 7-10 days.

Norway. Yes, it’s available from other apple store it seems. But I bought it with a significant discount which is way I don’t want to cancel. But seems weird to me that this big reseller in Norway can’t get a supply (Power)

Looking today, there appears to be a shortage of all MBPs. I'm getting 2-3 weeks for 16" or 14". Sign of an upcoming refresh?

I’d say the problem is more likely with your reseller’s ability or willingness to obtain stock from Apple, rather than a refresh or global issue, given how readily available these models are direct.

Sorry. I hijacked this thread, and I wasn’t clear. Today, I’m seeing close to a month wait for US MBP availability, direct from Apple.

Wow, that's kinda crazy. I just bought an MBP about 3 weeks ago, and it took a whopping 2 days from the time I ordered it to the time I had it in hand.

According to the Apple shopping app, the 3 Apple stores close to me all have stock right now. Not sure where this shortage is happening.

I'm in the chicago area. Base MBP is available today from some (not all) stores in 14" and one store in 16". If I want any other configuration, it's early November.

In-store availability is only reflective of supply and demand at the local level, so it's largely meaningless in relation to questions of global supply. I'm seeing a lot of the 14" and 16" models with shipping dates between Oct. 30 and November 11, but I don't think that's a reflection of an upcoming refresh. The US federal government's fiscal year begins on October 1, so September is usually when the various departments have to spend their remaining FY appropriations. It's also just after the back to school push, so a lot of Macs were purchased by students for school.
