Hey,

I would like to know how Supreme Commander runs on the new iMac (2600 Pro). Could someone please test this for me? I know it's probably not going to be super smooth but I would just like a little indication on what I can expect from it.

Thanks in advance,
Dr. Rengers

It runs well for me. I recently upgraded my RAM to 2Gb, and have yet to try it but with 1Gb is playable with most of the graphics on high. Things like the atom bomb mushroom cloud tend to slow down the action and there is an occasional jerk on the bigger assaults (lots of tanks)

I was impressed with how well it did actually, knowing its one of the most graphically intensive games out at the moment. Certainly playable at any rate

;)

Ok, great! You just made my day! :D

When I buy the iMac I'll order it with 4GB RAM so I guess it will run nice then.

Thanks,
Dr. Rengers

Glad to hear it, just make sure you order RAM off crucial if you wanna save money. As I said, i have no idea if more RAM will improve the game or not. will have to wait until my next LAN game...

The Apple RAM is indeed way to expensive so I wasn't going to order it there anyway. But it looks like Crucial ships to The Netherlands as well, which is a good thing since they are a lot cheaper.
