I wanted to share some impressions and pictures of this case. You can find it on Amazon and it’s reasonably priced IMO
The case is made of a very firm material and completely surrounds the mini for protection. The inside liner that touches the screen is soft and is help magnetically closed.
The case flap does. It bend or fold and instead opens like a book does. It has notches on the inside so that the mini can be propped up at 2 levels.
The portion that surrounds the iPad is a hard rubber material and seems like it would protect the device from drops. The speaker ports and power button are exposed, but the volume, but the volume buttons are covered.
there is a slot on the inside to store the Apple Pencil. I’m not sure if it also charges the pencil, but I’m guessing it doesn’t and you would have to take the tablet out or charge the pencil. I don’t have a pencil yet to test and will update when I get one.
*edit*
Got my Apple Pencil 2 in today and it connects and charges just by putting it in the holding slot, no need to take the device out!
Let me know if you have any questions. I prefer this style over the folding type for propping up the device since it seems sturdier.
