I’m very interested in getting an iPad and I have a question if a certain work flow is possible on the device. It’s basically:

1. Surf to a site.
2. Find a file I want to save.
3. Save that file to another computer/hard drive share.

In a regular browser on a regular computer, I would just save that file to the location desired easy and quick. Is this possible on an iPad either with builtin software or any apps people are aware of?

To be clear, I don’t want to save the file to the iPad itself. I want to save it to a drive share on my home wireless network.

Might not be what you had in mind, but there are plenty of Remote Desktop / VNC apps that will let you control your home computer via the iPad. You could then use the browser on your home computer to save the files to your drive share.
