Just picked up some standard Airpods (gen 2) after I cleaned my J-Labs and ruined the mesh piece on in the channel. Oops... I wanted the form factor of the original apple earbuds because they are much nicer to lay on for nighttime books and podcasts. I cared less about audio quality and more about the form factor without the rubber tips.

I have to say though, the audio quality is much better than I expected. $20 off at BestBuy too.

I have been using AirPods for years. Their sound quality is something I’m very very happy with. And I have a nice gaming headset and have used higher quality headsets in the past (grado, sennheiser, etc).
😂 😂 😂 😂 Ahahhaha

My point is I expected them to be more flat like the standard free wired AirPods. Did not buy them for sound quality but for form.

Nice pic, did you solder those together youself?

Yeah, they do sound noticeably better than the wired EarPods. Was a pleasant surprise once I got mine. I also just got them for convenience, really.
I have the earpods and airpods 2 and to be honest they sound exactly the same.

Check out rtings comparison of both of them.

The Airpod pro however, do sound different.
