Surprised by Adobe

I am new to mac but researching for software I need and I am surprised that Adobe is behind for mac os in compare to win. No Lightroom 5 until today, I was always thinking that mac is ahead on Adobe software.

Lightroom 5 has been available for Mac OS X and Windows since June 10th, 2013. See here for the press release.

And for a while, Adobe slightly abandoned Mac OS X, but came around in the first part of the first decade of the third millennium.

Adobe has slightly abandoned its entire userbase, by charging them monthly for as long as they need to use their software.
You might want to consider other products. Aperture is a competing product.
