I want to get iCloud storage and use secure video. I'm hoping only I will be able to decrypt it. I live alone and walk around nude sometimes. For this reason I prefer secure video. I don't want Amazon having access during Me Time or when I have girls over.

I need these cams:

Garage
Inside Basement Facing The Door
Inside Entry Way Facing Front Door
Living Room From 2 Angles

I have a valuable book collection that I want to keep an eye on.

That is like 5 cams.

The Garage cam needs to be battery powered.
The rest should be neater with battery power.

I'd prefer to only change batteries 3x a year or less.

My front door is a RING Cam that has been worth it weight in Gold. I'm keeping that AS IS.

I understand that I may need some sort of HUB.

I don't engage in drugs and the girls I have over are not minors.
The cams will not be hidden but a physical barrier will be used during sexy time to avoid recording us on the couch.
I've had girls over before with my current set up and I just unplug the cams to keep them happy.
We often make our own porn using pro cameras and iPhones so they don't really care anyway but we don't need cams on us.

Any help would be appreciated.

Budget is $1,000.00.

I don't have any specific suggestions, but I would strongly encourage you to make sure the cameras can be set to only record only when you are not at home. I don't trust any company enough to guarantee that they won't have access to my recordings, no matter how much they claim everything is encrypted. I've not done so yet, but I am considering putting the cameras I do have on smart plugs. Nest cameras in the past had bugs where they would turn on when you didn't want them to. I've gotten around those without the need for smart plugs so far, but it's still on my mind.

I think I'm going to go with a Ring cam.

Cheaper service. More reliable.

I'm really happy with my Ring Doorbell.

I'll pay extra for the power cables with the on / off switch. It also has a privacy shield.

I'll have one in my room that I can switch on when I go out the door and another in the living room that I can switch on when I go out the door.

When I saw “TMI” for some reason I thought Three Mile Island. I guess that shows how old I am. I was in the first evacuation zone when that went off.

"TMI" was a 1990s acronym, so they showed their own age too!
