Swap 7200RPM HD for 5400RPM? (15" unibody to older 17")

I am purchasing a refurbished 17" MBP with 320GB 5400RPM HD. I currently have a 15" unibody MBP with a 320GB 7200RPM HD. I'm cerrtain both drives are SATA.

Is it possible to swap the drives in these units? Is it as easy as swapping the drives and re-installing OS X?

Both drives are SATA and will phsically swap, if you plan to erase the hd and install fresh you should be good.
