Hello everyone!
I have two Mac Studios: 1) M1 Ultra with 2 terabytes SSD 2) M2 Ultra with 1 terabyte SSD. Can I swap SSDs in these machines? Will they start in new places? If it is possible and will it not destroy the SSD? I understand that the data will be lost, but the question is, will I be able to use these SSDs in new places after recovery...
The easiest thing is to try to do it, but I'm afraid to break both Mac Studios. :)

It is possible, as well as to increase SSD volume (for example, from 512GB to 8TB). You will need a programmer, microscope, soldering station and any mac to restore DFU and information database. The procedure takes several hours with a coffee break.
