Swapping bands at the Apple Store

I know Apple has been good about switching bands out at the Apple Store. I got a silver stainless steel with white sport band over the holidays. I already have a white sport from a previous model.

The watch was purchased from Best Buy. Would that make a difference?

Umm yeah I don’t think Apple will switch out something purchased at another store. But give it a go.

I have a feeling they won't either. But they for sure will swap if you purchased from Apple (a buddy did it no problem). A band is a band so I'm not sure why it would matter.

I think it has to do with stock levels. That band was never meant for sale at Apple after it was sold to Best Buy essentially. It never hurts to ask, I would call the store before hand though and check.
