I've backed up my Macbook drive onto an external drive, and its boot ready. I sold my rev. A Macbook and plan on installing this drive into a new Macbook.

Any issues doing this? I know with Windows, I'd have to either do a reinstall or delete all the drivers in Device Manager and reinstall those.

Intel Macs can boot from USB.

From my understanding (and I'm often ridiculously wrong) drake wants to install the drive into the new Mac, bypassing the external case for now. Either way, it's possible to access his backed up system. :)

You're right, I'll be cracking open the external case and putting that hard drive (160gb)into the Macbook and putting the Macbook's drive (80gb) into the external case. And you can run the Macbook nicely off USB, I've tried it before but wouldn't want to do it on an ongoing basis.
