For anyone who programs in Scheme (perhaps for a programming class), SWiL is the worst implementation of the scheme environment ever. The shift key isn't recognized, so any combination of characters that requires the shift key (such as a parenthesis) is ignored. It is SO annoying and it may just be my computer...if so does anyone know why this could occur?

I have tried Dr. Scheme but apparently brackets ( [ or ] ) are not recognized, so the programs that I write that use them also break.

Is there anything else a poor programmer can use that is decent?
