Swipe up banner answers call

Lately when I get an incoming call, if I swipe up on the banner it does not dismiss the call but it answers. Is this a new bug? Do I have a setting somewhere that I am missing?

Swiping up on the banner should silence the call only. Sure you're not swiping up and inadvertently hitting the green answer button while swiping? Done it myself occasionally.

I’ll pay better attention next time, but I don’t believe so. But I definitely can’t say it’s not possible. I never had this issue before though, and just the last few days I’ve been noticing it. I think I silence a call and they are there in the background listening to me😕

Maybe I’m looking at it wrong. When I swipe up it shows the call in the upper left of the screen. I thought that meant the call was active, but I guess that’s just still allowing me to answer it. So I’m tapping on that icon and answering the call when I thought it was already answered.

If that little phone is grey you’ve silenced it but still ringing as far as the caller is concerned and you can tap it and still answer. If it’s green, you’re connected. If no little phone in the corner you’ve declined it.
