Hello all, I’ve been using iPadOS since the first public beta, now public beta 4. It’s worked surprisingly well.

Several days ago I had my iPad Pro 11” switched over in the Apple store and since I’ve had issues.

Swiping up stops working entirely, at the same time, I cannot switch app by swiping left and right. I cannot open the control centre either. Restarting the iPad fixes the issue for about 30 minutes and then it happens again. Because the iPad worked fine before switching it out, I’m a little worried this is a hardware fault?

To remedy this, I tried resetting all settings, this didn’t fix the issue, but it has reset all location settings, which caused the weather widget to default to Cupertino. There is now no location services for weather. It appears in iOS13/iPadOS that these settings only appear once invoked, and I cannot invoke the first request for access. I even tried setting up a weather related shortcut etc, but no luck.

Any ideas about either of these issues is much appreciated.

Hi there. I had same problem on my 2018 9.7-inch iPad after installing PB3. But after I rebooted it it went away and never returned. I suspect it is beta issue and not HW issue.

I figured out what the problem is. Or at least for me.

I am using Brydge Pro keyboard and when I use the physical home button, it randomly stops the swipe up, control centre etc from working.

I have stopped using the home button and everything is now working fine for several days. As soon as I try the home button a few times, it breaks again until I reboot.

Perfect! Thank you!!!! I have the same keyboard.
