Hi all.

I bought an iPad Pro 2021 last year. All has been well until recently I’ve noticed that swiping up to close apps isn’t working properly. I have to do it repeatedly to make it work. I wondered whether it might be my screen protector so I removed it but that made no difference. The solution seems to be a reboot. It then works perfect for a few days but then the problem re-emerges.

This was an expensive purchase for me. I’m wondering whether I should take the iPad back and ask for it to be swapped. Any insights would be gratefully received.

If it’s not your screen protector and if it’s not your case , and If you are under warranty then take it back for a check up .

Thanks. It’s still in warrranty and so I’ll do that. Still I’d be interested to know whether anybody else has experienced this/it’s a known fault, as I live out in the middle of nowhere and so it’s a 2-hour each way drive for me to get to the Mac Store.

you can check if there's a shipping option too.

Did you also test out all 4 sides of the screen for the swipe up to close? rotate the app and do the swipe to close, repeat that test all for side. Test that with different apps too. If there is one side that always give you issues no matter how you rotate it , then its most likely hardware issue.
