Hello all, I'm new to the iMac and loving the experience so far. I have the 2017 i7/580 and it really flies. The one annoying problem I'm having is with safari on certain links I click on, particularly reddit. When I swipe back to return to the prior page, it hangs for about 3 seconds and I'm unable to scroll or click on anything on safari until the 3 seconds are up. This usually happens when I click on certain picture or gifs. Swiping back from an article behaves normally and its not all pics and gifs, just certain ones. If I force click the link, it works correctly also. I tried to replicate this on chrome, but it works the way its supposed to. Anyone having a similar issue?
[doublepost=1502239868][/doublepost]Here is an example that replicates the problem for me. Click on:

https://www.reddit.com/r/sports/

Scroll down to the video titled "Thank God for ESPN the ocho being on today... really needed to catch up on trampoline dodgeball" and swipe back from it. It only replicates the problem if you go to the reddit sports subreddit first and click on the link. If I linked directly to it and you swipe back to the page you were on prior, it works correctly. Please let me know if anyone can replicate this.

Tried it several times and I cannot replicate what you are talking about, swipes back fine for me.

Thanks for trying. I'm hoping this will be fixed for me on high sierra, but i can always use force click as a work around.

I have the same issue, really bugs me!

Also lagging mission control especially on first animation, but that will/should be fixed with high sierra.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one. I did a google search on this problem and it seems many people have had this issue since mavericks, which doesn't give me confidence that it will be fixed in high sierra. I also have the lag in mission control. It's very annoying for such a pricey computer to have these small issues when it excels in mostly everything else.

I had this problem in Yosemite (or whichever release came with the first generation of 5K iMacs).

Problem was fixed in the next os release. I was unable replicate your problem on a same (or at least similarly specc’d) 2017 iMac. Hopefully, High Sierra fixes it for you. Perhaps try the beta?

I know exactly what you are talking about. Really annoying issue that I hope is fixed by the next major MacOS release.

I found a workaround that worked for me. I downloaded bettertouchtool and was able to set up gestures in safari that replicates the keyboard shortcut ( command + [ ). It bypasses the swipe and works correctly. I'll be using this until they hopefully fix it in high sierra.
