As the title says, I have finally managed to get the SwirlyMMS app working on Orange UK! I am still using firmware 1.1.2 on my iPhone.

For anyone who needs them, here are the settings.

SwirlyMMS settings:

MMSC: mms.orange.co.uk/ [very important to put the / at the end]
Proxy: 192.168.224.10:8080

APN: orangemms
Username: orange
Password: multimedia

Edge Settings [in Settings - Network]:

APN: orangeinternet
Username: orange
Password: multimedia

It is sending and receiving very well now, but the only thing I cannot do is to find the downloaded incoming MMS photos - can't find the Media/MMSFiles folder? I am using MobilePreview.app and MobileFinder.app as instructed by the developer but this folder is nowhere to be found and neither are my downloaded incoming photos?

EDIT: Found the downloaded MMS photo using Transmit FTP on my computer connected to my iPhone, at:
private/var/mobile/Media/MMSFiles

But cannot see how to navigate to this folder using MobilePreview/MobileFinder on the iPhone itself? I can't work out how to navigate to the lower "private" level. I'm obviously doing something wrong!

Can anyone help?

Hi

When you open mobileFinder, tap on the ~ button and then naviaget to the 'Media' folder, and you should see 'MMSFiles'. Double-tap this and you should see your MMS received photos.

Let me know how you get on ...

Hi Mitch

Thanks for replying.

I opened the MobileFinder, tapped on the button, opened the Media folder - but all I can see in there are the following folders:
DCIM
Downloads
iPhoneDrive
iTunes_Control
Photos
com.apple.itunes.lock
disk.old.old

No MMSFiles folder

That's strange?? What version of SwirlyMMS are you running? What FW are you on? Have you received any MMS's yet?

It's the most up to date version of SwirlyMMS downloaded yesterday, running on 1.1.2 iPhone. Yes I've received 2 MMS's. Both photos downloaded just fine and are in the following pathway:

private/var/mobile/Media/MMSFiles

I can get to them via Transmit FTP program via my Mac, yet not via the MobileFinder on the iPhone itself!

Found it! :D

Had to turn on the Show ".." entry option in the Settings of MobileFinder, but then I could find the correct pathway to the MMSFiles

Hi.. I'm on the O2 UK network.. I've been trying to use SwirlyMMS (latest version) with firmware 1.1.4 and after a few days of the app opening and then immediately crashing, I finally managed to get it working long enough to send an MMS. It doesn't crash anymore at all, but when I send a message it just displays the little action wheel and then the app closes. Should there be a confirmation of some sort that the MMS has sent? I don't think any of the ones I've sent have actually been delivered to the recipients. I also haven't been able to receive any. I've checked and double checked that my settings for O2 are correct. Can anyone help? Thanks!

i have managed to get it all working but when looking at the pic in mobilefinder is there anyway to make the pic bigger than the thumb nail pic next to it?
