ANGER GRRRRR!!! Eh, late night, + hungry =
.
I see you work for ATT.
So, you agree- a customer calls up, orders something THEY WANT, and you think its OK NOT to do what they order? Damn, that is GREAT customer service!
You seem well suited to work at ATT
And again, F*** ATT
Just what is AT&T's big fear of MMS anyway? Whether I send a 100k photo in an MMS, or I send it via email, how is one something that costs $.25 and the other included in the data plan? And 3G, where the hell is that? AT&T is embarrassingly out of date. Oh but change is expensive! So, maybe everyone will be happy just using SMS and our slowass Edge network for years and years and years. No sane person would expect advances in... telecom technology. Oh, and ah messaging, 200 is all you get, we don't care if you're paying $120 a month for service, 200 is the magic number. We'll just charge you 1800% of what it costs to put one through for every one after that. And why not? What are you going to do about anything? Nothing, that's what. At the end of the day, you're going to pay whatever we charge you for.
When this contract is up, I'm through with cell companies. After these last several months of terrible service, I'll get a touch, turn it into a VOIP phone & stick to calls when I'm near a WAP. I'm done contributing to this bs.
And while I'm on a roll, this whole mentality of imposing a billion limitations on the iphone keeps this device solidly in the "potentially coolest device in the world" realm, which is fine now, while the competition is still scrambling to catch up, but it keeps me from Investing in Apple, since as soon as these other unoriginal turkeys get it together and start passing off their imitations without Apple & AT&T's myriad restrictions and constraints on everything, the imitators will have the better devices, and the originality factor Apples coasting on will fade fast. The SDK is an interesting move to extend the hold of the product on the market, while stubbornly maintaining (possibly increasing) Apple & AT&T's overarching control. It's thoroughly obnoxious, and I hope to see the Pwn-phone team completely obliterate iPhone 2.0+ to high stink, so we wind up with devices that actually live up to their potential, running both AppStore & legit apps, as well as all the useful Apps both vested companies would rather not distribute out of their own sense of greed. Screw em. They've got my money, and plenty of it. Now I want this device to work for me, not for a fancy print ad. WTF.
