I picked up the Gold Aluminum Series 4 watch today and the version I purchased came with the Pink Sport Band. Alas, I do not think I can pull that color combo off. Do you know if it's possible for me to exchange that at the Apple Store with a different color band? It's still unopened it was only part of the AW 4 box packaging. Thanks!

I'm sure they go together under the same product identifier. But no harm in asking.

I seriously doubt they'll allow the bands to be swapped. The packaging for the band that comes with the watch is most likely different than the retail packaging. It really is ridiculous that they don't allow customization between watch and band. Clearly it's so they can sell more bands. I don't know many professional men who would wear a white watch band to work. Very lame, Apple.

I doubt it. But you could probably sell it or swap it with someone online for a band you actually want.

If you do buy another band, you might want to keep the original in case you decide in the future to sell the watch on one of the web sites when the Series 5 comes out.

Thanks for the responses everyone. It was worth a shot with asking but you all make sound points. Especially on a business level of selling the right watch but not the band, in hopes they buy their desired band and net more profit!

Unfortunately no. Best bet is to buy a new band, and sell the old one here in the marketplace or something.
If you were responding to me, I have a different opinion based on my selling several watches all on different websites, based on who was paying most.

In all cases, you had to select the exact configuration originally sold by Apple. That meant the exact watch model paired with the specific band originally sold with the watch. I'm not aware of any way to select a custom watch and band combination.

Of course, if you don't have any intention to sell your old watches this way, then my opinion would not be relevant.

ADDED: I think your "unfortunately no" applied to the OP, not my comment, but still offering my opinion.

I asked that same question on Friday night when getting my S4. They said No.
