Hello, I am sure this has been discussed here before but I'm almost out of contract on my Blackberry contract (Storm 1) and am *thinking* about switching to the iPhone.

I use the BB for email mainly so I'm not sure the iPhone is for me but I do prefer the iPhone's browser and apps.

So my question to anyone here who has made the switch from a Blackberry to iPhone.... are you happy you did?

Well, I've never actually owned a blackberry personally. But at work, we support mobiles, and switched our whole company from blackberry to iphone a year or so back. I have to say, from both an end user and 'back end management' perspective it's a big step forwards.

I *think* all of the actual phone users are very happy with the change too - at least I've not heard of any unhappy ones.

The other thing is that the number of people walking in saying "How can I do this?" or "It's not working right" has gone down massively.

I had a BB at work and now my own iPhone. The only thing the BB has the iPhone does not is out of the box task list (to do list) management that syncs back to your desktop. Still a major gap on the iPhone in my view. There are many aftermarket apps for task list management and some sync over to the desktop with varying degrees of finesse/success. If this is a big issue for you, you may want to research a good task list manager before you leap.

Otherwise, I am very happy with the switch.

A few years ago, I switched from my VZ BB Curve to the iPhone 3G. I haven't looked back since. The Curve was my very first smartphone, so I wasn't really a huge BB fan to begin with. When I purchased my iPhone, it was like night and day. I mean you may find it different since I'm sure you have used a BB longer than I have. But I also think you will be very surprised to see what the iPhone is capable of.
