SWITCH: PC Outlook to Mac Mail, Address Book

Hi folks,

Big victory in the “switch” campaign: my mother-in-law’s old custom-built PC tank finally died and she was surprisingly quick to take my recommendation that she get herself a Mac Mini. That tiny thing looks great on her desk and she loves it.

The only thing I haven’t gotten done for her is bring her old bookmarks and address book over. I have the .wab file from her old MS Outlook, but I can’t figure out how to get the info over into Mac Mail.

If I remember correctly, the bookmarks should be easy to impor....

The bonus would be getting her old mail boxes converted over into Apple Mail.

If anyone could help with instructions or point me to something on line, I would appreciate it.

There's a cheap, good program for this, Outlook2Mac. My husband used it when I switched him, and it worked really well.

And congrats on the switch.
