Tried searching for this but had a hard time finding anything since "uk" is too short for the forum search.

Anyways, if I am moving to the UK, can I bring my existing US iPhone over to the UK and set it up on a UK carrier?

If it's an original iPhone then you will be able to unlock it and use it with a UK sim from any carrier other than 3 mobile. However, if it's an iPhone 3G then you can't unlock it just now.

Thanks for the reply. Is this cause of lack of 3G over there now or waiting on a carrier updates?

You can unlock the iPhone 3G - depending on its baseband.

We have a very good 3G network, actually.

See here.

Also, why on earth would you want to come here? You must be mad. I can't wait to get out. Again.
