I have the Samsung galaxy S2, its been a great phone, but now its starting to have problem, guess that is to be expected since my phone is 4 years old. My phone gets overheated easy and the battery drains so fast, even without using it. I tried buying a new battery but no difference.

I am interested in getting the Iphone because on Android in the country I live, many apps are restricted, all the paid apps are restricted, even some free apps are restricted. For using my credit card even that is restricted. I have to use VPN to trick where I am from.

I am thinking of getting Iphone because I see there is no region restriction.

I have both Samsung galaxy S2 and Ipod touch 5th generation, I see I use my Ipod touch more than my Mobile phone, the only thing I use my mobile for is calling and using free service like Viber and whatsapp. My Ipod touch 5th gen have better performance, its better at everything than my Samsung Galaxy S2.

What are the benefits of getting an Iphone and the negative of getting an Iphone?

Does the Iphone 6 + have more battery than the Ipod touch 5th gen and Samsung galaxy S2? I haven't used any other phone so I can't really compare any other phone.

If I do go for the Iphone I wait till September or October.

This is something important to keep in mind, I don't upgrade phone every 1 or 2 year, I keep the phone I buy till it gets faulty then I buy a new phone.

Have you tired a factory reset, sounds like some software misbehaving.

Benefits

Fast camera that takes great pictures
Great app selection
Vast music & video collection for purchases and rentals
Many accessories to choose from
Excellent idle-time battery life
Excellent customer service support structure
High resale value
Awesome logo!

Cons

Expensive (compared to comparable devices from competitors)
Very little customization
Must deal with the dreaded sea of icons
No back button
Limited Chromecast functionality
Not compatible with Samsung, LG, Sony, and Motorola smartwatches (may change)
No Tasker support
Browser scrolling is slow (Android scrolling is how fast you want it -- flick it hard to scroll fast or gently roll it to scroll slow, while on Apple devices, it's the same speed no matter how hard you swipe).

I tried a factory reset but nothing no difference.

Let say here another difference its with two games

Summoners war
Samsung galaxy S2 = Playing summoners war drains battery so fast and gets hot
Ipod touch 5th gen = Playing summoners drains way slower doesn't get hot

Kritika
Samsung Galaxy S2 = Its really laggy and drains battery like crazy and gets really hot
Ipod touch 5th gen = Plays perfect without getting hot and doesn't drain battery fast.

I like using my phone for taking photos.

If you're going the iPhone route wait for the iPhone 6S or 7 series since iPhone 6 series is already obsolete with the insufficient browser and app reload issues.

If you want something now that run your games with the best performance and without heating up then go with the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.

Ironic I'm coming back to Android after being all in with Apple.

My phone journey started with Android in the growing pain days I had the very first HTC EVO and many after that. Then I wanted to see what all the excitement was on the Apple side so I bought the iPhone, iPad and it's probably easier to go from iPhone to Android then it is Android to Apple and mainly because Apple is very proprietary and locked down for example back ups including photos are done by WIFI. Also software updates and large apps are done over WIFI only. Problem is I don't have WIFI I have unlimited data with my carrier that's it.

iTunes songs are usually $1.29 Google .99 iTunes movies $4.99 Google $3.99 most free Google apps cost money in the App Store. Its small but I find it greedy.
iPhone notification bar iphone stinks it doesn't really update until you pull it down and then it's a wait because you have all these apps trying to update at the same time.
Apple will also password you to death and quite frankly I got tired of Touch ID I found myself constantly activating SIRI when I just wanted to unlock the phone.
It really is like sheep there is no individually with the iPhone you seen one you seen them all.
Anyway I just ordered a Moto x and SOL headphones for $399 Mother's Day special , I look forward to coming back to Android and wish you the best with your iPhone.

Switching from Android to Iphone

im not sure have i seen that, but i have seen several times that devs seems to ask money for every customization they offer. The same app in Android is 1.99dollars including all extra features, but the same app in ios is 1.99dollars but tou need to pay separately for each features and the total is around 10dollars. This has happen when i have the same app in android/ios. Devs can do what they want, so i dont say it is wrong, but odd...

if i bought iphone right now, i definitely would wait to see specs for 6s.

in that case if you cant "use" google, get iphone (maybe the 6s). where do they have such a restriction?

My Ipod touch 5th gen have better performance, its better at everything than my Samsung Galaxy S2.

cant be compared. ipod is 1,5 years newer (late 2012 versus early 2011) device and on that time it was a quite difference between devices if they were new or a year old.

What are the benefits of getting an Iphone and the negative of getting an Iphone?

Pros are that it's a solid piece of hardware and the new 6 series is very nicely crafted. Solid apps and pretty solid OS overall.

Cons are that it's not as open as Android. You're limited in how the functions operate. It's either Apples way or no way. Android, if you're into it, can do just about anything you want any way YOU want and is very flexible. '

IMO you can't go wrong with either, but my personal insight is you'll likely outgrow iOS quickly. Although that depends on how you use your phone or prefer to use it. There's a lot you can do on Android that Apple won't allow you to do.

Gotta be in it to win it
Both have good cameras but the newest Samsung camera just out performs the iPhone.

Well this article declared the s6 to be better by a hair, but if I were looking at these shots and basing a buying decision on these shots, the iphone does a better job with color rendition to my eye; and based on that iphone wins. For me.

The iPod 5 has the same specs as the 4s which is from 2011, so yes, it can be compared.
