Hi I just got back from being a camp counselor at a sleepaway camp and I picked up an 8gig iPhone from the AT&T store at a local mall on Sunday (I know I should have gotten it from the Apple Store... too late now).

I was so excited to come home and get it set up. I get into my room and try and turn on my iBook G4 that has been perfect for me for years and it won't start up. I hear a loud noise like the fan is over-rotating and then the screen goes black.

So I had to activate and set up my iPhone on my mom's crappy P4 Dell Dimension. I'm getting a MBP to replace my old G4 but I have already set up my iPhone and activated it on my mom's PC. How would i go about making the iPhone a Mac iPhone?

Would it be the same way that you would do it with an iPod? Just restore it on the Mac?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Also, if there is something goes wrong with my phone can i just bring it to an Apple Store and have a genius look at it? Or would i have to go through AT&T? I would think that since its an Apple product I could just go to a local Apple Store and have a genius look at it.

Apple handles all the servicing of the iPhone. You just need to a) call apple or b) go to an apple store and talk to a "genius"
