Switching SSD samsung from 4,1 MP quad to 2012 8 core

I was wondering...is it possible to have current SSD samsung 750gb with contents from4,1 mac pro taken out and place it in later models of mac pro like 8 core 2012 model and still run good?

I don't know if switch cores would be a factor whether it works or not...
anyone? Thanks
