Switching to T-Mobile Questions

So I'm thinking about switching to T-Mobile since the new unlock came out for the 3GS. I know I'll lose 3G support.

So here are a couple questions I have?

1) Do the new T-Mobile "Even More" plans work with the iPhone? Specifically the unlimited voice/text/internet Even More Plus plan that is $79?

2) How would I go about switching to T-Mobile being that I'm still under contract with AT&T? How would the ETF fee and such work? (Will I just get a big bill?)

3) Do I have to buy a phone when signing a new contract with T-Mobile, or can I just ask for a SIM? (With "Even More Plus" phones aren't subsidized, but the plans are cheaper)

4) Is there anything else that is missing when you're with T-Mobile (I've heard there are some MMS quirks right now)?

5) Any other tips, etc. you can think of?

They should work just fine with the iPhone. However, do realize that with an iPhone on T-Mobile, you will be limited only to EDGE speeds.

T-Mobile should be able to port your phone number. They will bill you for the ETF in your last monthly bill.

No you do not have to purchase a phone, if you walk into a corporate store. Though some may push you to some free phones, or a $20 Nokia.

I have MMS working fine, you will be missing Visual voicemail however, but this can easily be solved by Youmail, Google voice, or another similar service. Also, you will be limited to EDGE because of the frequencies of the iPhone.

Make sure you do not click the update button in iTunes right off the bat everytime Apple releases a software update.

I've heard you need a seperate data plan from the one built into the "Even More" plans; is there any truth to that?

Specifically, how do I setup the plan without buying the phone? I don't think there is a free option for Even More Plus?
