Hi! Currently, I am using this MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011): 2.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 750 GB hard disk, 8 GB of RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 1 GB of VRAM for work, school and SWTOR via BootCamp Windows 7 (its the only game that I play).

However, the OS X partition of the hard disk died and I can only access the Windows partition.

I intend to get a the 13" rMBP: 2.9GHz Processor 512 GB Storage 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz 16GB 1866MHz LPDDR3 memory 512GB PCIe-based flash storage1 Intel Iris Graphics 6100 Built-in battery (10 hours)2 Force Touch trackpad

Wondering, besides the smaller screen (using an external display) will the new MacBook Pro be a step down? Will the graphics be better, same or worse? Sorry, I'm a tech idiot. Please advise.

Thank you.

According to this site these two cards you mentioned are close to each other in terms of raw performance (theoretically). In practice, things might be different though. However, regardless the performance, check if the game you want to play supports the intel iGPUs.
