Is it possible to sync Outlook's "Catagories" to the iPhone and have contacts sorted into mutliple groups or Catagories?

i.e. I have about 1700 contacts and around two hundred catagorized as "Friends" another 1000 or so are in a "work" Catagory and and the last are miscellaneous under things like Fishing, Skiing etc.

Thanks in advance,
-Matt-

I know that some software can let you import Contacts from Outlook to iPhone. Is that what you want?

Nope - iPhone natively imports contacts from Outlook to iphone. In Outlook you can set up catagories to file your contacts under like Business, Personal, Fishing, Skiing, Summer Home, Restaurants, Doctors etc.

That way you view a particular catagory and find a contact much more easily or browse all contacts within a catagory more easily than hgaving to look at or search through ALL your contacts which in my case is about 1,700 people and companies.

So you need a software to sync your contacts' groups to your iPhone.
There are lots of sofewares can do it.

Can you recommend some for me? Feel free to e-mail me if it is not allowed to be posted in this forum.

Do I need to Jailbrake my phone in order to use the software you recommend?

Thanks,
-Matt-
