On my main MacBook I have multiple non-iCloud email accounts beside my iCloud one. I recently purchased two additional Macs and after entering my Apple-Id while installing the macOS suggested to add and activate these additional email accounts.

Today I received my first iPhone and I thought that iOS would after entering my Apple-Id also suggest to add and activate these additional email accounts. But this did not happen – it seems that I have to enter them manually. Is that true?

Key Chain syncs passwords and the like. This works.

I'm asking about email account settings.
Yeah from what I've read…in iOS it won't automatically add accounts that exist on other devices but it seems to keep the passwords synced once they are added manually.

I'm not sure why this is different on iOS than macOS.

Years back I turned Keychain syncing off within hours of turning it on as I didn't like what it was doing.
