Sync iPhone to iMac

I have 40GB pictures stored on my iMac Big Sur and i want to take pictures with my iPhone and sync to other devices as iPad and iMac and i don't want to upload those 40 GB to iCloud from my imac stored in photos. I just want to sync my iPhone pictures over to my devices.
How do i do that?

You control that with the Finder Sync Photos tab.
