Is it possible to sync one's OS X iTunes library across Boot Camp into Windows? I would like to have the same library on both my Windows and OS X partition, and by library I mean having the same ratings and play counts across both partitions in addition to the actual music. If this is possible, how can it be done?

I'm wondering if this was implemented in Bootcamp 3.0 as well. If I could sync my iPhone on either the Mac or Windows side that would be incredible.

Yes, you have to have the library on a partition that both can read and write to tough. So either install Mac Drive for Windows so it can read and write to HFS+ partitions or put the library on an NTFS partition and install NTFS3g in OSX (free).

Then you need to select your itunes library file by opening iTunes while holding down option, and in Windows I think its shift, find where you put the music folder and inside it should be a .itl file. Then change the location of where the files are located in the iTunes settings.

(If your "iTunes Library" file doesnt have a .itl extension then add it)

Is there any way/workaround to maintain & update playcounts while on the Windows side like the OP asked? Basically, can you make iTunes work as one regardless of which OS you are running?
