I have a 1.1.4 jailbroken iPhone and 10.5.2 OS. Just recently I've been getting an error message when I try to sync the phone with iTunes. First a system error message will pop up telling me that the application "SyncServer" is unresponsive and has quit. Whether I relaunch the app or not the sync still fails. Then iTunes is busy with the phone for a few more seconds, followed by an iTunes error telling me that my mail accounts couldn't be synced because a sync session could not be started.

I have never seen this error before, and have no idea how to fix it. Any ideas?

Did you ever solve this? I just started getting the same behavior.

yeah applecare fixed it

The fix had to do with going into the Library>Core Services>Sync Manager folder and deleting a plist or something like that. I had to do it in both the system and the user Library to get it to work. I also had to go into the Safari appsupport folder and delete the bookmark plist to get those to sync.

Back up everything first, don't blame me if it gets f'd up. Or call Applecare if you have it.

Good luck, let me know if it works for you.
