In iTunes, has the apple TV sync menu always had blue dots next to the movies/tv shows that haven't been watched?

This definitely wasn't there before and honestly i don't think it was there after the update. Just noticing it today. Was i just missing it before?

It has been that way since the last iTunes update. I noticed it right after updating iTunes on iPhone launch day.
