I am trying to find a way to easily sync PDF documents between my Mac and iPhone. I can not see any easy way to do this with the standard functionality with iBooks or Pages etc.

I want to be able to scan documents onto my Mac in PDF format and save these in a way that they will automatically sync and be viewable on my iPhone.

Can anybody confirm whether there is a simple way to do this or recommend an app that provides this functionality?

Just copy the PDF to Books in iTunes and sync to your iDevice. Hopefully Apple will release a Preview App in OS7.
