Hi

I played around with an Apple TV for the first time today and it looks quite good. But when I read up on the product in the forum I understand that the files must be synced and available locally on the Apple TV hard drive before it's playable on the device. Please tell me it isn't so... I have a huge iTunes library with many TB of video and it would be important that I can access the whole library, preferable via iTunes Playlists (are they synced?).

Many thanks

I store and stream all content on my ReadyNAS NV+. However, I must keep iTunes open and running on my iMac in order for the media to be accessible on the AppleTV.

Puh, that's not to bad but again not optimal. If Apple Tv would replace my HTPC I guess I have to have a server for other things; squeezebox, airvideo etc. I might as well have an itunes running there.

Thanks for the reply!
