Synching photos and videos through iCloud

1.) After taking pics and videos on the 4S will it copy all of these files to my Macbook Pro and Macpro if I want it to OR does it just keep the photos and videos in iCloud?

2.) If it does copy everything to my Macs, does it somehow let you know when it does, so I can delete the photos and videos from the iPhone?
