I'm not sure if anyone else is as happy as I am to finally have an easy solution to Exchange e-mail but it's near.

I've been waiting for Synchronica ever since the news was released that they'll offer Exchange e-mail service without any software installs or need for special IT configuration.

They're offering a 60 day free trial and for the past couple of days if you click to sign-in to your account, it tells you they're upgrading their systems.

It seems that they recently posted the instructions for the iPhone set-up so hopefully the service will be live within the next day or so. I can't tell you how excited I am for an easy solution to finally get my work e-mail on my $600 phone.

Wow!

Works great for me! The only option I had for corporate e-mail on my iPhone was Outlook Web Access through Safari. Now, that wasn't bad at all... but took much more time, especially over Edge.

Now I am in touch with both my personal and work accounts through one simple applications.

Now, let's see what they charge after the 60 days...

I registered at Synchronica, and they sent me an email with a link to get started. When I click on the link, I get a web page notice that the organization's security certificate has been revoked. There doesn't seem to be any security setting in my browswer (IE) that let's me get around this message.

Has anyone else run into this?

Thanks.

This only works if you company does not have things like token secuirty enabled. I would imagine most companies that have more secuirty in place then a user-id and password for email access would have a problem getting this to work.

It's actually working great for me. I signed up yesterday right after it launched and it was really laggy. I'm sure it was due to server loads or something of the sort. Today it seems to be running much more smoothly.

The one thing I can't figure out is how to get it to sync my calender. Has anyone had any luck?

I got it to work as well. I notice a very big delay in mail sync, but hopefully this is a temporary problem due to overloading of their servers.

I noticed that mail now has a Synchronica advertisement as a signature, but I can't delete it via the iPhone/Settings/Mail/Signature screen. Perhaps this is the "cost" of the free trial?

I can't get calendar to sync...I don't know if its possible, but I do notice many more folders are available (e.g., Junk folder) than through my previous IMAP sync setup.

I also noticed a few duplicates in my inbox, but hopefully that is temporary problem as well.

Trouble sending.

Thanks for the information. I am having issues sending mail. It hangs for a long time.

Also seems to check for extended periods. Is that somthing that needs to be put in the IMAP Path Prefix

Email from Synchronica on demand

Dear Mobile Gateway User,

We are currently experiencing a huge demand for access to the Mobile Gateway free trail and are in the process of expanding our servers to address this. During this time you may experience occasional problems with sending and receiving email and accessing the trial website.
Our servers will be updated as quickly as possible and we will let you know as soon as this has been completed.

Many Thanks

The Synchronica Mobile Gateway team.

It worked for a bit for me earlier this morning, but now has stopped working again for the past few hours. I sure hope they can fix their server problems soon...This service looks promising, but is very unreliable at this stage.

Started out great no service today...

The service was working beautifully for me last night/this morning.

Crash and burn after 10:00AM Eastern time today. No service all day.

Now that I am starting to get messages via the Sychronica mobile gateway, I am seeing some of the messages say "This mesage cannot be displayed because of the way it is formatted. Ask the sender to send it again using a different format or email program."

Well, for me this is a fatal flaw. The persons sending me the emails are using programs like Outlook and are not sendng bizarre formats. I can read the emails fine on any other email account on the iPhone other than Synchronica. I'm not going to reply to my co-workers and colleagues telling them to find the message they sent me, reformat it or use a new email program and resend it so that I can view it using Syncronica on an iPhone. Not good.

This only works if you company does not have things like token secuirty enabled. I would imagine most companies that have more secuirty in place then a user-id and password for email access would have a problem getting this to work.

Yep -- my company blocks this. Ugh.

Works slow...

I love this ability. However, and hopefully before they expect payment, they will upgrade their servers. The time is not troublesome just in its slowness, but in the battery life the phone eats while trying just to connect (especially over Edge), not to mention retrieve. I decided to disable auto-checking for the time being, until responsiveness is resolved.

Keep it up though Synchronia!
