About to buy my first Android after 10 years of nothing but iPhone. I still use my macbook and iPad regularly. One of my favorite things about the apple ecosystem is being able to use Notes, Reminders, and Calendar from any device and being able to see them and get notifications about them on my other devices.

Are there any apps/hacks for Android phones that allow me to sync up with those Apple apps? I would love to be able to take a not on my phone and check it from the Notes app on my computer, or vice versa.

So, I'm not aware how to do that, but there are iPad versions of the Google Apps available in the App Store and you can access any Google service (Keep, Calenders, etc) from a browser from your Mac.

I believe there are one or two apps in the Google play store that will allow you to sync your iCloud calendar and reminders. It’s called Isync or something like that. They’re ok, not perfect but you should be able to get your reminders and calendars. I don’t believe there is a way to sync Notes. I agreed you’d probably have to use Google Notes for that.

You should also be aware that you may need to generate app specific passwords to use your calendar and reminders on Android. In other words, you would not use your iCloud account password. Under your apple id you ask to generate a password you’d use for Android apps to gain access to those things. I guess that protects your iCloud password.

I use this to sync my family iCloud calendar to android. Works well for me and integrates into the Google calendar app on my phone.

looks like the dev has other syncing apps available too:

I'm not sure about reminders or notes, but I use the Google variants of those anyway.

Not true.

Maybe any MODERN device.

Just try doing that on my 2003-2006 era PowerMacs and PowerBooks (and MBP).

You can't!

Which is one of the reasons I ditched iCloud for all of that in late 2012 and went with Google for Calendars, Notes and Reminders.

Google WILL sync with my Macs.

Not yelling at you, just stating an opinion and my experience. The Apple ecosystem is highly overrated.

I would suggest if you are serious about having an Android phone that you make life easier for yourself and not try to force it to be an iPhone. The items you mentioned, notes, reminders, and calendar, can easily be addressed with other open ecosystems that will work just as well (pros/cons both ways of course) as your all Apple ecosystem. I personally use Google and Microsoft... but there are many choices. OneNote works great across any platform. Google calendar as well... but I actually use Microsoft for calendaring.

I started to move away from the apple ecosystem with the 5s for exploration purposes only. Here I am, years later, and very happy in Googles.

Google Calendar
Google Keep (handles notes and reminders in one place)
