Syncing Books Collection from Music on iMac to iPad Pro in Catalina

On Mojave, selected syncing of books/PDF was so effortlessly intuitive, complete with thumbnails of the individual files. On Catalina, only a list is available, with no thumbs…?!?!? Or am I just utterly def, dumb and blind-- and can’t seem to locate the option to view my PDFs as thumbs???

Try View > As icons.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately, the menu bar from the Sync Settings panel is entirely greyed out (although the icon button is selected for View option).
