Syncing contacts with GMail

Hi,
Does anyone have experience syncing contacts with GMail? I have a lot of contacts on Google and I would like to merge them with iCloud.
Any info/suggestion will be appreciate.

You cannot sync contacts with iCloud and GMail at the same time.

Turn off GMail contact sync in the Lion Address Book then turn on iCloud contacts sync.

If your contacts are in GMail now, go to the GMail web page and export your contacts as a VCF file. Now go to Address Book in Lion and import this VCF file. That will put all your contacts in the address book and they will sync to iCloud.

You can use OS X Address Book to export as a VCF file then import that VCF to GMail.
