Hey everyone, I'm waiting for the truck to come deliver my iPad so in the mean time I'm planning out what I'm going to do when as soon as I get it!

One first thing is music, and up until now I've 'Automatically synced checked music' on my iPhone. But I don't think I will necessarily want the same songs for both my iPhone and iPad due to capacity differences etc.

So will I just have to choose one that I manually manage songs? Or is there another way - perhaps having a single huge playlist for each device and sync that?

I recommend playlists. You can limit the size to the largest amount of space you want music to take up on the iPad. You could even make 2 smart playlists, with one of the rules being that the music is NOT contained in the playlist you make for your other device, that way you have unique music on both.
