Hi,

I have a Macbook(laptop #1) I take to work with me and that fills up with photos in different subfolders in a main Photo folder.

I would like to automate the following process:

1) Photos in PHOTO folder are automatically copied from laptop #1 to extenal drive when I connect it to external drive.

2) Connecting hard drive to laptop #2(home laptop) automatically syncs PHOTO folder with PHOTO folder in laptop #2 ssd.

I have Chronosync, Superduper, Carbon Copy Cloner. Chronosync doesn't do automatic syncing.

I was looking at SYNK. I think this might fit the bill but I see it has some issues in the past.

If this is a one-way copy Laptop1=>External Drive=>Laptop2 then just use Carbon Copy Cloner to run a job on each machine when the drive is attached, sync Laptop1 TO the Ext, sync Laptop2 FROM the Ext.

I use ownCloud to achieve this, but I'm using a 3rd (non-OSX) machine as the ownCloud server. Might be possible between 2 machines though?
