Syncing from iTunes using new iPad is a lot faster

is it just me or with the new usb c port on the iPad makes syncing data like videos from iTunes onto iPad a lot faster now with my MacBook 2018 and new iPad its so fast using usb c to usb c cable, was lighting now high enough for data transfer haven't seen this spoke about anywhere

I have seen it mentioned in a few threads, when people were comparing using a USB-C 2.0 rated cable vs a USB-C 3.1 cable. Sounded like some significant difference in transfer speeds.

If you’re using the included cable it’s still USB 2.0 data speeds

I won't be using the included cable when I get mine. Ordered a few of the 3.1 cables in different lengths and look forward to seeing the speeds firsthand when I first restore from iTunes backup.

Using the included cable, I can sync a 5.19GB movie in 2m56s. I bought a Belkin TB3 40 Gbps cable and sync that same movie in 41 seconds. Wow!

Yes, the speed difference is very noticeable, feeling glad about the getting the 512, as it's so quick to move stuff onto it.

Wish they'd moved to USB-C with the iPhone Xs now.
